1. Download & Install
First, download the Windows setup file (the .exe file) from your dashboard or download page.
- Double-click the downloaded Keyshepherd-Setup-Windows.exe file to run the installer.
- If you see a blue window, proceed to Step 2 below. Otherwise, simply follow the on-screen instructions to finish the installation.
- Once installed, Keyshepherd will launch automatically.
2. Bypassing Windows SmartScreen
Because Keyshepherd is a newly released application, Microsoft Windows Defender SmartScreen might show a blue security warning during installation. This is a standard procedure for new apps until they build reputation. Here is how to easily safely proceed:
- When the blue "Windows protected your PC" screen appears, do not click "Don't run".
- Instead, click on the More info text link located just below the main message.
- A new button called Run anyway will appear at the bottom right. Click it.
- The installer will now open normally.
3. First-time Login & Browser Popup
When Keyshepherd launches for the first time, it needs to verify your license.
- The app will automatically open a new tab in your default web browser.
- Log in to your Inovix account.
- After successful login, your browser will show a popup asking for permission (e.g., "Open Keyshepherd 2026?" or "Always allow inovix.dev to open links of this type").
- Click Open or Allow. This returns you to the desktop app and activates your session.
You're all set!
Keyshepherd is now fully configured on your Windows PC. You can start typing seamlessly in Word, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or any other application.
